Importance of Sexual Harassment Prevention Training in the Workplace

Sexual harassment harms the people targeted, damages morale and productivity, and exposes employers to serious legal liability under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and state law. Prevention starts with making sure everyone understands what harassment looks like, how to report it and what will happen when they do. Our Preventing Sexual Harassment for Employees training video gives employees the information they need to help prevent harassment and deal with it effectively if it occurs, and Preventing Sexual Harassment for Managers and Supervisors shows leaders how to identify situations that could lead to harassment and stop it early.

When a complaint comes in, Handling a Sexual Harassment Investigation walks managers through identifying the issue and gathering the facts. Employers who want the full program can choose the Sexual Harassment in the Workplace Package, a three-part series for employees, managers and investigations. California employers must provide harassment prevention training to supervisors and non-supervisory employees every two years, and our California supervisor course and California employee course are built for those requirements. Harassment often overlaps with bias, so add Preventing Workplace Discrimination and browse our harassment training courses and human resources training pages.

Every training video on this page is available in English and Spanish except the California supervisor course, which is in English. Assign training and track completions through Unlimited Interactive Online Training, present it in group sessions with Classroom / Trainer Delivery, or order training DVDs and USBs.
