Importance of Personal Protective Equipment Safety Training in the Workplace

Personal protective equipment is the last line of defense between a worker and a hazard, and it only works when it’s the right equipment, worn correctly and kept in good condition. OSHA requires employers to assess the workplace for hazards, provide suitable PPE and train employees on when it’s needed, how to wear it and its limitations (29 CFR 1910.132).
