HAZMAT injuries are one of the leading causes of employees’ “days away from work”. The bottom line is that when people are uninformed, they can get hurt. That’s why it’s important for employees to know what materials they can encounter on their jobsite and how to protect themselves while working around them.

This course discusses the different types of hazardous materials that can be found in construction environments, and how exposure to them can affect employees. It also provides practical guidance on how to respond during a HAZMAT spill or exposure, including how to assist others and evacuate safely.
